Tethys Robotics develops innovative underwater robotic solutions for inspection missions in challenging conditions. We
serve clients such as large asset operators and industrial service providers operating in high-demand sectors including
offshore wind, oil and gas, but also maritime security, ammunition detection and search & rescue.
We are supported by the Wyss Zurich Translational Center (Wyss Zürich), a unique accelerator program, which is
embedded into ETH Zürich and University of Zürich.
Job description
As a Sales Representative at Tethys Robotics, you are reporting directly to the executive management and working
closely with our internal team and external partners. You will strategically work on implementing our underwater
robotic solution into customers’ operation by identifying, acquiring, and setting up of long-term relationships with
customers primarily in the offshore market. Representing Tethys Robotics will be a hands-on work ethic at conferences,
demonstrations, and customer visits internationally.
In your role you are responsible for the following tasks:
- Active acquisition of new customers in the international offshore market to closing sales deals
- Developing market- and customer-specific sales strategies (e.g. reseller, agencies, distributors)
- Leading contract negotiations and taking responsibility for deal closure
- Building long-term relationships with decision-makers, while actively providing the team with industry insights,
contributing to successfully positioning Tethys Robotics among target customers
- Representing our technologically complex products in strategically targeted customer visits, meetings online/in
person at international trade shows and product demonstrations
- Developing customized proposals in close collaboration with engineering and executive management
Profile
This Role Requires:
- At least 5 years of proven B2B sales experience with technologically sophisticated products, ideally within the
offshore energy, UXO, underwater inspection service or maritime industry
- Extensive market knowledge, including hands-on experience with offshore campaigns and their execution
- Proven success in offshore sales is highly advantageous, along with a strong and dependable network within the
offshore and maritime industries
- Excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and intercultural competence, convincing personality
with a talent for winning people over
- Technical understanding and affinity for operating complex systems, ideally in the fields of robotics, sensor
technology, or maritime technologies
- Flexibility and ability for spontaneous national and international business travels in the first phase primarily
within EMEA region
- Profound experience in methodologically and structurally managing sales funnels, preferably HubSpot
- Technical sales representative ideally with degree in engineering
- Joy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up team and motivation to work in challenging outdoor conditions
- Fluent in professional English, both written and spoken; any other language is a strong advantage
- Driver's license
Bonus Points if You Bring :
- Sales experience in robotics
- Commercial divers license
- Offshore certification (GWO / BOSIET or equivalent)
