As Bid Manager Service, you pursue the overarching goal of successfully selling maintenance contracts for rail
vehicles worldwide. As Bid Manger for service sales projects, you will play a key role in the sales success of Stadler
Service. In the assigned projects in various markets, you will coordinate and lead an interdisciplinary team with
employees from the Stadler Group and from our worldwide maintenance locations. You will be responsible for preparing
offers, coordinating the team, preparing and leading sales meetings with management.
How you can make an impact
- Cross-location project management for sales projects in the Service Division
- Close co-operation with the vehicle sales team on tenders that take into account vehicle purchase and their
long-term maintenance.
- Responsible for the preparation of customer quotations (in particular coordination of quotation team & work
packages, quotation & time planning, progress checks, quality assurance of quotation documents)
- Analysing the contractual terms requested by the customer. Recognising the associated risks and proposing mitigation
solutions by suggesting adjustments to the contractual terms.
- Cooperation with external service providers (consultants, lawyers, etc.)
- Preparation and active participation in sales meetings with management
- Collaboration on process optimisation
How you will contribute
- Technical degree with further education (FH, equivalent, or higher)
- Experience in project management, team leadership and/or management responsibility is an advantage
- Core competences in business administration, commercial matters
- Strong ability to coordinate the various departments along the value chain and create harmonious interaction
- Team player
- Industry experience in the area of total solutions for complex services
- Understands maintenance concepts and knows how to apply them in the area of maintenance solutions for train fleets
(or similar means of passenger transport)
- Has experience with service tenders and the awarding of contracts, understands their interrelationships and can
recognise and assess risks
- Very good MS Office user skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken); business fluent
- Other languages of significant advantage
- Winning personality, independent, decisive and responsible
- Ability to come up with unconventional solutions
- High flexibility in terms of operational readiness, especially during the bid submission period
- Willingness to travel
