Your Role :
As the Product Family Architect for IoT Devices , you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise
and system architectures across our portfolio of primary and room-level IoT devices and systems. You are a T-shaped
professional - strategically minded with deep technical expertise - capable of shaping the technical vision,
architecture, and interface design of IoT solutions. At the same time, you lead by example at the code level, providing
hands-on technical leadership and actively guiding development teams.
You excel at navigating communication between stakeholders, leading architectural decisions, and shaping strategic
roadmaps. You evaluate emerging technologies in the IoT and Building Automation markets and ensure the delivery of
high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. As a member of the Product Family Leadership Team , you will collaborate
with enterprise, portfolio, and product line architects, product managers, project managers, and developers in a
dynamic, international environment.

Location : this role will be based in Zug/Switzerland. Please note that qualified candidates need to be legally

Your new responsibilities:
Technical Leadership for Product Family
- Define the architectural runway, technology roadmap, and cybersecurity strategy
- Ensure end-to-end architectural consistency and total cost of ownership across IoT field devices and R&D sites
Enterprise and Systems Architecture
- Design and implement architectures for products and systems that integrate IoT, wireless communication, cloud and
edge technologies tailored to building automation lifecycles
IoT Device Platform Architecture
- Oversee the architecture of device platforms that enable scalable, interoperable, and innovative IoT products
Leadership in Interdisciplinary Teams
- Lead global, cross-functional teams across embedded systems, communication technologies, and IoT solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver holistic IoT building automation solutions
Strategic Assessment and Integration
- Analyze organizational and market needs, recommend emerging technologies, and design products that enhance IoT
building automation system performance and business value
Lifecycle-Oriented Development
- Translate non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability, interoperability, reliability) into iterative, risk-based
development processes aligned with evolving ecosystem needs
Business-Driven Architecture
- Align business strategies with architectural decisions to deliver interoperable, wireless-enabled IoT products and
solutions
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering and architecture
- Proven experience in developing and architecting IoT systems, including embedded devices, edge & cloud solutions
- Strong understanding of IoT technologies and trends shaping modern system architectures
- Proficiency in IoT communication technologies (e.g., BLE, Thread, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT) and protocols (e.g., CoAP,
BACnet, KNX, Matter, MQTT)
- Experience with SAFe or similar agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with the full product lifecycle, including collaboration with silicon vendors, manufacturers, and
suppliers
- Additional skills in product management, business strategy, or strategic marketing are a plus
- Domain knowledge in Building Automation, HVAC, Lighting, Shading or Security is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and preferably German; additional languages are a plus
