Your role and responsibilities
Are you ready to make an impact with your sales expertise? As a Sales Engineer for Electrical Installation , you will
be the main point of contact for our customers in the field of electrical installation products – including power
distributors, intercom systems, and switches & sockets. In this exciting B2B role, you will support electricians and
planning engineers across the German-speaking part of Switzerland, actively contributing to the growth of sales and
margins.
You will work in a hybrid model (field sales & home office) and report to the Sales Manager for Electrical
Installations based in Baden (AG). With your technical know-how and passion for sales, you will build long-term,
strategically important customer relationships and sustainably develop your sales territory.

They are mainly responsible for

Manage your sales region: Provide expert advice to electricians in your area, supporting profitable growth.

Acquire new customers: Identify market opportunities, win new clients, and ensure an outstanding customer experience
throughout the entire sales process.

Grow with the team: Collaborate closely with extended sales teams to explore new market opportunities and contribute
innovative ideas.

Work in a structured way: Maintain your sales activities and project pipeline consistently in ABB’s CRM system
(Salesforce) – transparent and goal-oriented.
Qualifications for the role

At least 3 years of experience** in technical sales and business development
-
Good market knowledge in electrical installation and an interest in modern topics like building automation
-
Strong communication skills with proven ability to build and maintain successful customer relationships

Completed vocational training as an electrician or a technical university degree (e.g., electrical engineering)
-
Independent, structured working style combined with teamwork and customer orientation
-
Proficient in ERP and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) as well as MS Office
-
Valid driver’s license category B and a valid work permit for Switzerland
