Position
Your scope of work includes the control system hardware, electrical power sub-distribution systems, instrumentation
solutions and dedicated protection / monitoring systems for heavy-duty gas turbines. Your focus is on engineering and
project execution in close cooperation with our suppliers.
Your tasks
Define the technical requirements for control system hardware and electrical power sub-distribution apparatus for the
GT and its auxiliary systems • Determine control system and bus network architectures • Design electrical power
sub-distribution panels • Define appropriate instrumentation solutions for temperature, pressure, level, measurement of
mass/volume flow and fuel gas composition • Design I&C and low voltage power loops (sensors, cabling & shielding,
junction boxes) for field instrumentation, drives and actuators • Specify and configure dedicated monitoring systems
and associated sensors (supervision of bearings vibration, combustor flame, pulsations and shaft speed) and integrate
them within the GT control system • Customize automation and control system scope according to Client’s requirements •
Prepare technical purchase specifications • Monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements •
Accompany factory acceptance tests • Support site erection and commissioning activities as well as hand-over to
after-sales service.
Requirements
Your profile
Degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering • Professional experience in design & project execution of automation
systems in the field of power or process plant engineering • Familiarity with associated design directives and codes &
standards: LV Directive (2014/35/EU); LV switchgears (IEC 61439); EMC Directive (2014/30/EU); Explosive Atmospheres
(IEC 60079); knowledge/experience in Functional Safety (IEC 61508) would be an asset • Good acquaintance with
engineering tools for electrical & process automation (preferably EPLAN) • Strong commitment to deliver according to
quality, time and cost targets • Critical thinking, problem solving & analytical skills • Team player • Excellent
command of English, German is an advantage, further knowledge of Italian would be an asset.
