FPGA Design & Firmware Development Engineer (f/m/d)

This appeals to you
- Conception and development of complex FPGA designs (VHDL) and embedded software with C++ on real-time operating
systems
- Contributing to firmware architecture, specification, and implementation of real-time software for our laser tracker
and scanner systems
- Design and implementation of unit and integration tests
- Participation in the agile development process within various interdisciplinary Hexagon project teams, with
occasional travel to other locations
This is you
- Completed degree in electronics ETH, FH or TU
- Excellent VHDL design, programming and debugging skills
- Experience in developing embedded software with C++ for real-time applications
- In-depth experience in microprocessor programming
- Independent and methodically structured working style, particularly in C, C++ and VHDL programming
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential; German is strongly preferred
- Goal-oriented, open-minded and creative personality with a wealth of ideas and enthusiasm for practical activities
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
Beneficial additional qualifications:
- Experience with Matlab or Python in development processes and converting FPGA code from these tools
- Experience with Intel FPGA, Quartus and Qsys is an advantage
- Knowledge of image processing and real-time algorithms, especially in the context of metrology applications
