Together with our customers, we combine the real and digital worlds.
Our department Fire Systems develops fire safety products, from the fire detector to the control panel up to the cloud
service – in dedicated teams, with passion and conviction. Annually we produce millions of high-quality fire detectors
in our modern on-site factory in Zug as well as abroad. Our networked fire products collaborate with smart building and
cloud services to protect what is important to you.
Our team is the global competence center for the field bus connecting peripheral products, e.g., fire detectors with
the control panel. We develop hardware components and software platforms, upon which a broad range of fire peripherals
products are built.
Would you also like to actively shape the future and make a positive impact on the lives of millions of people in
Switzerland? Then you’ve come to the right place! Apply today for the role of “System Architect Fire Safety Products
80-100%”.
Your new responsibilities
- Define functional internal interfaces between fire peripherals and panels
- Alignment with panels and cloud for end-to-end customer use cases
- Actively develop and amend our fire peripheral metadata.
- You assess opportunities for reuse of fire peripheral core assets to foster product harmonization, robustness and
quality
- You help maintain a global portfolio serving different solution channels as part of our global competence center
- All phases of development from requirements engineering, feasibility studies, writing technical specifications,
development and verification to bringing the product to manufacturing.
- You collaborate with procurement, test engineering and test teams, as well as with external certification bodies.
- You are a member of an agile release train. You communicate successfully in the release team and beyond. You take
responsibility for achieving the project goals.
- You support the resolution of demanding field problems. Based on this experience, you will develop suggestions for
improving our product families.
Your skills
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in several relevant technical disciplines with strong focus on systems engineering.
- Experience in system architecture, requirements engineering and product life cycle management, ideally in a strongly
regulated environment with long product life cycles.
- Experience in high-volume, safety critical and cost sensitive product development is beneficial.
- Your broad technical understanding, quick comprehension, and willingness to constantly learn new things enable you
to connect people and ideas.
- You are reliable, self-driven, have a structured way of working and are willing to take ownership.
- You appreciate the intercultural teamwork in a global company.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Working knowledge of German required.
