The Department of Mathematics (www.math.ethz.ch) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned position.
Successful candidates should demonstrate an outstanding research record and a proven ability to direct research work
of highest quality. We are looking for experts in probability theory and related fields. Willingness to participate in
collaborative work both within and outside the school is expected. The new professor will be responsible, together with
other members of the department, for teaching undergraduate (German or English) and graduate level courses (English)
for students of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering.
Assistant professorships have been established to promote the careers of younger scientists. ETH Zurich implements a
tenure track system equivalent to that of other top international universities.

der Promotionsprüfung berücksichtigt, der für wissenschaftliche Arbeit aufgewendet wurde. Dieser Zeitraum sollte zum
Zeitpunkt der Bewerbung acht Jahre nicht überschreiten.
