Are you fascinated by the power of machine vision and eager to apply your mechanical and programming skills to
real-world production challenges? We’re looking for a Process Engineer – Vision Specialist to lead the development and
integration of advanced camera-based inspection systems in high-volume manufacturing.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—designing and commissioning vision systems, supporting and
improving existing setups, and exploring the potential of machine learning to elevate our technology. You’ll
collaborate across departments, take on project leadership responsibilities, and train others to harness the full
potential of our camera systems.
Your responsibilities will be to:

Design, develop and integrate advanced vision systems across new and existing machines to enhance our production lines

Collaborate closely with our current Vision Specialist to understand and streamline existing processes
-
Advance our level of automation by installing and configuring cameras and other vision equipment for real-time process
monitoring and inspection

Utilize vision systems to ensure machines are operating efficiently, processes are stable and product flow through the
factory is optimized

Develop and implement innovative applications using machine learning and artificial intelligence, enhancing our
in-house technological capabilities

Analyze system data to provide insights and recommendations for improving product quality and operational efficiency
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and operations, to align vision system
goals with broader organizational objectives

Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal impact on production and maximum uptime
Our requirements:
-
B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or another related field
-
In depth knowledge of programming software
-
Understanding of lenses, vision sensors, exposure, resolution, focal length would be a plus
-
Experience of ideally more than 2 years of working with vision systems in a modern automated manufacturing environment
-
Experience with PLCs and test software programing would be an advantage
-
Knowledge of quality control processes
-
Ready to take on lead role in projects – drive the implementation and innovation across different teams
-
Excellent English skills with good knowledge of either German or French
-
Willingness to occasionally travel across Europe
