The role
As an Expert Data Engineer, you are a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and
architectures. You work closely with clients to understand their data needs and realise tailored solutions that drive
business insights. Your technical expertise and strong methodology help you bring your projects and clients to success.
How you’ll make an impact

Whether in the cloud or an on-premises data center, you expertly navigate the world of Big Data, helping our clients
make their data business- or operations-ready.

You access diverse data sources efficiently and reproducibly.

You design, test, and monitor distributed data processing pipelines.

You work closely with data scientists in the creation of machine learning models.

You perform performance and cost estimations for various use cases.

You develop and create meaningful dashboards to visualize processed data.
What’s important to us

You are comfortable with Big Data, massively scalable databases, cloud infrastructures, and distributed algorithms.

You have a passion for sustainable software development and have gathered several years of experience in technical
roles.

Along with your expertise in Python and SQL, you ideally have hands-on experience or a strong interest in technologies
such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, Airflow, RDBMS, NoSQL, DevOps, Kubernetes, and Java or .NET

You have a good understanding of the capabilities in large public cloud environments and may have used resources from
Amazon AWS, MS Azure, or Google’s GCP.

You hold a university degree (ETH, Uni, FH) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.

Fluency in both German and English is required for this position.
