Export Coordination Specialist - 12-month contract

We are looking for you as our new Temporary Export Coordination Specialist (m/f/x). The position will be based in
Basel, Switzerland and you report to the Head of Distribution International.
Job Purpose
The Export Coordination Specialist focuses on global Distribution and Order Processing for a dedicated portfolio of
Straumann Group’s oral care products and services. As part of the Distribution International team, the Export
Coordination Specialist is responsible and accountable for delivering competitive service levels, while meeting
delivery performance targets, through agile and pragmatic prioritization depending on business needs and impact,
through smart, exception-based shipping management, through a meticulous execution of standardized tasks, and use of
available tools in compliance to a regulated (FDA, TÜV, DEKRA, ESG, Known Consignor etc.) fast changing environment.
Therefore, it is key to be always open according to our player-learner culture to focus on all relevant functions and
stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction for the dedicated countries and brands.
Your role:
- Prepare and review export documents ex HQ Basel and Cross-Trade, such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of
origin according to customer and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to arrange and track shipments, resolve issues, and ensure
compliance with export regulations and procedures
- Coordinate Customer Reverse Management
- Analyze and optimize the export processes and workflows, and identify and implement digital solutions to enhance
efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Research and evaluate best practices and emerging trends in process improvement, process automation, lean process
management, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to communicate, validate, and execute process improvement
solutions using various tools and methodologies, such as process mapping, flowcharts, diagrams, simulations, etc.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in export management, digital transformation and provide
feedback to your Manager
- Willingness to take over new tasks/responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, international trade, or comparable degree
- Further training in export (export specialist or forwarding specialist)
- 5 years of professional experience as export clerk
- Very good skills in SAP R/3 (SAP key user, SD and MM modules)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, and other process improvement tools and software
- Experience with Cross trade transactions and Shipping
- Passionate about digital transformation and innovation business process improvement, change management
- Very good English and German skills (spoken and written)
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to work under pressure and
meet deadlines

- Being a performance driven self-starter, you have a “can-do” attitude to develop things autonomously by using your
previous experience
