Technical Specialist in Microscopy (80-100 %)
Mission
We are looking for an entry-level position (80 - 100%) microscopy specialist for the BioImaging & Optics platform
(BIOP) at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Main duties and responsibilities
- User support and training for the BIOP microscopes.
- User support in simple image analysis tasks.
- Support in instrument maintenance and repair.
- Participate in teaching tasks of the team.
Profile
- We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field,
who has proven competence in microscopy and basic knowledge of image processing.
- As an ideal candidate, you are service-minded, proactive, and an excellent team player.
- You will be part of a team of experts supporting the EPFL Life Science community with cutting-edge light microscopy
expertise.
- We collaborate with imaging facilities and staff scientists in-house and across Switzerland, and expect you to have
excellent social and networking skills and to enjoy collaborating with peers.
- Good communication skills in English are essential.
