PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of Ebara Elliott Energy's Global
Service’s initiatives. The primary purpose of the job is to effectively lead a team of cross functional employees in
the execution of all phases of assigned Business Unit initiatives and implementation of large and complex projects in
the Rotating Equipment / Turbomachinery sector.
This position is responsible for managing a variety of different projects. This includes gathering and analyzing data
in support of business cases, planning and executing implementation projects, regular reporting on progress of the
plan, managing all interactions with internal and external customers and administering clean hand-offs of the
initiatives to the appropriate regional resource upon completion.
NATURE OF THE JOB
The Project Manager Is accountable for managing and controlling all phases of an implementation project from planning
to execution. The project manager must ensure clean hand-offs and project transition is complete and clearly understood.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
- Internal contacts: All levels of management within the following functional areas: Regional Directors, Field Service
Managers, Repair Center Managers, Global Service Parts Managers, Sales Managers, Engineering, Purchasing, EHS, Quality
and Finance.
- External Contacts : According to the Project need, contact with customers, vendors and subcontractors
SUPERVISION
- This position is primarily an individual contributor who effectively lead project on his/her own or if needed
directs the activities of colleagues/partners across many departments, while retaining authority for project completion.
- Mentors, trains, develops, and encourages personnel to achieve their maximum potential for benefit of their personal
careers at the company.
- The Project Manager will report directly to the Regional Director – Global Service EMA.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES
- The position will require development of business cases to position solutions that align with the organizations goal.
- Responsibilities include analytical ability and understanding of strategic need to generate a complete business plan
including a risk assessment, timelines, milestones, Financial projection and deliverables for the assigned project(s).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned projects while coordinating technical activities within the
Region and with Global GS Leaders.
- Responsible for preparing technical proposals including work scope, project plan and manpower plan for each assigned
project.
- Lead cross-functional team(s) managing all aspects of a comprehensive project by gathering appropriate resources and
support.
- Manages project progress reports to measure quantity and quality of project. Takes necessary steps to communicate
project status; making decisions and taking actions to meet project milestones.
- Monitor project budget and expenditures, ensuring that all costs are within approved limits.
- Plans, organizes, and directs long-range program interface with the Business Unit Leaders through completion of
project with successful hand off to appropriate Regional Leader.
- Collaborates with all necessary functions to meet objectives, including Regional Leaders (Field Service and
Repairs), Global SVP Leaders, Sales Managers Purchasing, Engineering, Region / Operations Managers, EHS, Quality and
Finance.
- Carries out special projects as assigned by the Regional Director, Global Service
- Overseeing all planning and execution of construction/restoration activities
- Lead customer discussions in the area of turbomachinery and pumps (both API and Cryogenic Pumps) repairs to deploy
improvement programs to align with our customer expectations.
- Investigate operational shortfalls (cost of poor quality / warranty) and deploy improvement actions and communicate
such plans with customers and key stake holders supporting bottom line improvement (profit)
- Lead implementation of new entities in the EMA region to support the growth of the Global Service division in EMA
- Conduct research of potential acquisition opportunities in areas of need, along with producing acquisition analysis.
- Collaborate with other Regions (Americas, APAC etc.) to implement best practices.
- Any other tasks that the job might require.
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
- A degree (BS), preferably in engineering. Turbomachinery (or equivalent industry) experience would be a plus.
- PMP/PMI/Prince 2 or similar qualified.
- Must have strong capabilities in several of the following areas: project management, project execution processes,
tools and standards, operational processes, industry related standards, and/or related experience in engineered process
equipment and systems.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with financial and budget management.
- Projects can be global in nature; therefore, the Project Manager must be sensitive to widely diverse cultures.
- The individual must have good organizational and developed problem solving skills and the ability to effectively
lead others to the successful completion of an assigned project.
- This position will require regional/global travel (25 to 50%) to get some projects validated and up and running.
- Unrestricted travel eligibility across Europe and Middle East and Africa.

Full time Office based role offered in either Abu Dhabi, UAE or Lachen, Switzerland.
