Position
You will play a key role in monitoring and controlling the financial performance and progress of long-term service
projects. You will work closely with project managers and other departments to ensure that projects are completed on
time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting will be crucial
in maintaining effective project control. You will report directly to the CFO of Ansaldo Energia Switzerland Ltd.
Your tasks
Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and forecasts • Track project costs, identify variances, and provide
recommendations for corrective actions • Prepare and present regular project financial reports to management •
Collaborate with project managers for ad-hoc requests in relation to contract renegotiations, contract extensions,
claims and insurable events • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding project financials •
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues related to project costs and timelines • Assure good
quality of financial information and ensure timely completion and validation of the project review documentation •
Coordinate and manage changes in project management and controlling guidelines (Decision Protocols) • Simulate
financial impacts of Decision Protocol changes/updates in cooperation with technical departments and the responsible
project managers • Coordinate/update/validate all major project key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as: revenue,
cost, gross result/-margin, invoicing and cash-in/-out and ensure its proper monthly accuracy and forecasting • Manage
the planning of bi-yearly project reviews for the entire portfolio • Act as key contact for internal and external
audits • Define hedging concepts, optimize project cash flows, minimize tax exposures, identify risks and opportunities
• Contribute to developing forecast and budget rounds • Monitor and take responsibility for the reporting of selected
branches and subsidiaries
Requirements
Your profile
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration and at least 5 years of professional experience in finance •
Experience in the industrial sector, banking, or in an auditing role • Excellent fluency in English, knowledge of
German and Italian would be an asset • Very good command of Microsoft Office and SAP • Strong communication,
presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international team environment •
Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Strategic vision • Strong analytical
skills continuously looking for improvements • Strong commitment to deliver on-time.
