The Nanomaterials Engineering Research Group at the Institute for Chemical and Bioengineering is an interdisciplinary
team composed of chemical engineers, physicists, chemists, materials scientists, and electrical engineers focusing on
physics and chemistry of soft electronic materials for new optoelectronic devices and integrated systems.
We aim to hire 1 – 2 postdoc researchers / senior scientists in the emerging field for the development of nanoscale
organic semiconductor optoelectronic devices. In these devices, the nanopatterned organic or halide perovskite
semiconductors are coupled with plasmonic / dielectric resonators to enable electroluminescent metasurfaces and
electrically-pumped lasers. We aim to fabricate nanoscale light-emitting diodes (Nano-LEDs) and nanolasers in a
scalable manner for heterogeneous integration with CMOS technology.
Job description
Successful candidates should demonstrate solid academic background, publication record, and extensive experience in
nanoscale device fabrication, nanophotonics, and high-frequency optoelectronic characterization. The position will
involve extensive teamwork and coordination with other PhD students and senior scientists. It is important to
demonstrate the spirit of collaboration without compromising research independence.
Profile
The candidate should have a PhD degree in natural sciences or engineering, with a strong interest in nanoscale lasers,
light-emitting diodes, and metasurfaces.
