Our lab has an open position for a highly motivated, ambitious, and collaborative PhD student to lead an exciting
protein engineering project related to the development of new optogenetic tools to investigate neuromodulator signaling
in living animals.
Your responsibilities
Conduct and plan laboratory research in a protein engineering project involving techniques from molecular cloning,
mammalian cell culture, confocal imaging and fluorescent activated cell sorting experiments.
Your profile
- Master degree or PhD degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology or a related discipline
- An ideal candidate should have solid experience in the following techniques: molecular cloning techniques,
fluorescence-activated cell sorting, mammalian cell culture, confocal microscopy
- Good organizational skills, attention to details, reliability, and ability to work in a team
- Excellent speaking/writing skills (in English)
- Must be OK with animal research being performed in the lab (not by the student)
- Female individuals are highly encouraged to apply
