This position reports to
Fulfillment Lead
Your role and responsibilities
The Material Planner handles the end-to-end planning of inventory by invoicing, from purchase requisition to
supplier’s invoice, and assisting internal customer service inquiries. Reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager,
you will set inventory parameters and inventory targets, while making sure that there is adequate replenishment of
inventory through purchase orders. In this role you will oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products by
collaboration with the operations department and our Global Business Services center. You will align the planning of
material with call-offs and ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials for production needs through
purchase requisitions conversions into purchase orders. The work model for the role is onsite. #LI-Onsite You will be
mainly accountable for: • Managing materials resource planning exception messages and assisting in cycle counting
and/or year-end inventory counting as well as calculating and maintaining inventory parameters in planning systems and
ERP systems (safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies). • Working with the
procurement team to get the best supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity
(MOQ), quality, lead time, and flexibility. • Conducting financial risk assessments relating to inventory, and root
cause evaluation when necessary as well as evaluating excess and obsolete/aging inventory and taking appropriate action
to optimize inventory performance. • Segmenting the materials portfolio through ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle
management, and commercial policy, and defining inventory policies.
Qualifications for the role
- 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing and Planning Department
- Sound knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Italian
- Experience in industrial business segment and electronics market is an advantage
