Your responsibilites
- Pioneering Research & Development: Drive innovation in polymer-based materials for cutting-edge applications in new
mobility, energy transition, and beyond
- Expertise in Rubber Materials: Develop advanced formulations, compounding methods, and processing to create
high-performance elastomeric solutions
- Project Leadership: Lead complex R&D initiatives with tight deadlines, delivering innovative solutions that meet
both technical and business objectives
- Chemical Compliance & Sustainability: Maintain and enhance internal compliance systems by monitoring and replacing
chemical substances in alignment with REACH and ECHA regulations
- Material Testing & Validation: Design test methodologies, evaluate material performance, and build a robust pipeline
of alternative solutions to meet regulatory and customer demands
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, engineering, and advanced technology teams to integrate
materials expertise into holistic product development
- Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain detailed project reports, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous
improvement
- Excellence-Driven Mindset: Strive for outstanding results in all aspects of research, development, and collaboration
Our requirements
- Educational Background: Degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymers, or Chemical Engineering
- Technical Expertise: Strong foundation in elastomers, nanomaterials, thermoplastics, or surface chemistry
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in a relevant industry or a PhD with a focus on polymer materials
- Analytical & Reporting Skills: Ability to produce high-quality technical reports with in-depth material analysis
- Global Mindset: Willingness to travel internationally to support customers and collaborate with global teams
- Personal Attributes: Adaptive, innovative, structured, and collaborative, with excellent problem-solving skills and
a commitment to excellence
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and verbal); German is a plus
