As an Environmental Sustainability Intern, you will support our global sustainability team in implementing Franke’s
environmental and climate initiatives. You will work closely with the Environmental Sustainability Specialist and other
internal stakeholders on data collection, analysis, and tasks that contribute to the company’s Science Based Targets
and overall ESG commitments.
This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate sustainability, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, and
data-driven environmental management in an international setting. The internship is limited to 12 months and requires
regular on-site presence at our premises in Aarburg.
Your responsiblites
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and validating ESG and environmental data at the group and product levels.
- Support the collection, validation, and analysis of sustainability data from global Franke entities (e.g. Scope 1–3
emissions, materials).
- Assist in maintaining data quality and documentation in the group’s sustainability database and reporting tools
(e.g. Intelex).
- Conduct research on sustainability topics such as supplier engagement, emission factors, and best practices for
Scope 3 data management.
- Help prepare internal and external reports and presentations (e.g. SBTi progress, GHG inventory updates,
sustainability communications).
- Contribute to cross-functional projects with Procurement, Operations, and Product Management related to
sustainability data or decarbonization initiatives.
- Support administrative and coordination tasks (e.g. meeting scheduling, data requests, document version tracking).
Your skillset
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Sustainability, Environmental
Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset and interest in environmental data and corporate sustainability.
- Familiarity with topics such as the GHG Protocol, life cycle assessment (LCA), or carbon footprinting is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling quantitative datasets.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is an asset.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in an international team.
