Your t asks:
- Design and engineer combustor hardware—including burners, combustion chambers, and fuel distribution systems
(FDS)—for Ansaldo’s heavy-duty gas turbines.
- Stress analysis of combustor parts using FE methods.
- Release of design and manufacturing documentation (drawings, 3D CAD models, product structures and part lists etc.)
- Perform feasibility studies of design to cost solutions.
- Interface to Gas Turbine Integration, Compressor and Turbine departments for design integration tasks.
- Develop and maintain interfaces to other engineering teams, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and external suppliers
of combustor design services.
Your profile:
- University degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with focus on turbomachinery, aerospace, process technology,
mechatronics, or energy technology
- Ability to work in distributed, multi-disciplinary teams, with complex interfaces.
- Skills in Root-Cause-Analysis and structured problem-solving methods, such as 8D
- Knowledge in using 3D CAD and FE analysis tools; experience with NX12 and Ansys Workbench is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to power plants, construction sites, Ansaldo factory in Genoa (Italy) or to
suppliers; typically, 2 to 3 days a month
- Excellent command of English, German is an advantage, further knowledge of Italian would be an asset.
