- Job location :
Yverdon-les-Bains
- Contract :
Permanent contract
- Deadline to apply
I apply
- Context
Sylvac S.A. one of the world’s leading companies in the development, design, and manufacturing of precision measuring
instruments.
- Mission
We are looking for a motivated Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team developing advanced vision and measurement
systems. You will design, implement, and integrate algorithms for high-precision dimensional measurement, working
closely with colleagues in mechanics, electronics, and automation.
- Profile
Core Requirements
Strong background in mathematics (linear algebra, geometry, optimization methods).
Proficiency in C++ and C#; experience with OpenCV and point cloud libraries (PCL).
Knowledge of real-time systems and multi-axis synchronization.
Experience in robotics, optical measurement, or related precision engineering.
Nice-to-Have Extras
GPU acceleration (CUDA, OpenCL).
Machine learning expertise (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Experience in dimensional metrology and/or GD&T standards.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Clear, structured documentation of algorithms and processes.
Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary R&D team.
- Tasks
Algorithm Development
Design and implement vision algorithms for dimensional measurement in multi-axis systems.
Develop methods for point cloud processing, geometry computation, and surface reconstruction.
Work with multi-sensor data (optical cameras, laser scanners, other non-contact systems), including calibration,
alignment, and fusion.
Data Processing & Filtering
Apply advanced mathematical models and filtering techniques (e.g., Kalman, particle filters, wavelets) for
high-accuracy results.
Perform geometry fitting, registration (ICP, NDT), and tolerance computation (e.g., comparing scanned parts to CAD
models, merging scans, combining sensor data).
System Integration
Integrate vision algorithms into real-time systems with multi-axis motion control for synchronized acquisition and
processing.
Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure robust calibration and compensation in real-world conditions.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with mechanical, electronics, and automation engineers to optimize overall system performance.
Adapt algorithms to customer-specific parts, geometries, and tolerance requirements.
Document algorithms and workflows clearly for both internal and customer-facing use.
- Our offer
A healthy corporate culture and supportive working environment.
Competitive compensation and attractive social benefits.
Opportunities for professional growth and development in fields you are passionate about.
Don’t wait any longer — send us your application.
