At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, with
over 17,000 employees we shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new
technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless
global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we
look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the
world at large.
We are looking for a Technical Writer (m/f/d) to join us and ensure our product information is clear, accurate, and
user-friendly - so our customers worldwide always have the right information at hand. You will be part of our
documentation team, which plays a key role in supporting product development and customer experience across our global
organization.
What is the role about?
Do you enjoy making complex topics simple and easy to understand? Are you passionate about writing precise, clear
content while keeping the big picture in mind? Do you thrive when working closely with experts from different fields?
If so, this role is perfect for you! As a Technical Writer, you will create high-quality technical documentation that
is accurate, practical, and tailored to our customers’ needs. You will collaborate with product management, development
teams, and other stakeholders within our corporate function to support products throughout their lifecycle.
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
- manage the entire lifecycle of technical product documentation in German—from planning and creation to
publication—using an XML-based editorial system.
- create and maintain software texts with an internal solution, ensuring clarity and consistency across all user
interfaces.
- research technical content and prepare it for the target audience in close collaboration with product management,
development, and other departments.
- actively contribute your expertise to interdisciplinary project teams and accompany products throughout their
development cycle.
- support continuous improvement by taking on additional tasks beyond day-to-day operations, such as optimizing
editorial processes and systems.
- help develop editorial guidelines and maintain our internal knowledge database to foster knowledge sharing within
the team.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- Hold a degree in Technical Communication or a comparable technical qualification with additional training as a
Technical Writer.
- Have strong analytical skills and a structured, goal-oriented approach to making complex technical content
understandable and audience-appropriate.
- Are proficient in MS Office and familiar with XML-based editorial and content management systems.
- Have excellent command of written and spoken German and good English skills for communication in an international
environment.
- Work independently, show initiative, and demonstrate assertiveness—especially when shaping and optimizing editorial
processes and systems.
- Are a team-oriented, communicative personality who enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration.
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family-owned, highly committed company with a sustainable vision.
- We promote lifelong learning with versatile training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge
transfer, and e-learning.
- We prioritize work-life balance, offering flexible working hours to support a healthy balance.
- We provide support with sustainable mobility solutions such as public transport.
- We support family-friendly policies, including daycare places and childcare services during holidays.
