Professorship for Translational Neuro-regenerative Medicine 100 %
permanent employment
The professorship located at the Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IREM) will form the interface between
experimental research and clinical translation with a focus on the development of new therapeutic approaches in the
field of neuro-regenerative medicine.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding track record in the field of translational neuroscience with a focus
on neuro-regenerative medicine (e.g., stem cell therapy, immunotherapies and/or biomimetics). Contribution to teaching
is mandatory. Clinical service is not expected, but participation in specialized clinical services can be negotiated.
She or he holds an MD-PhD, MD, or PhD and has strong clinical translational interests and experience in setting up and
implementing national and international research consortia. An understanding of regulatory affairs and challenges of
novel neuro-regenerative therapies ("clinical translation") is desired.
