Purpose of Role (Mission)
-
Managing all business aspects for the dedicated product portfolio including strategy to achieve the business plan
goals, driving the product portfolio throughout the product life cycle including development project management, market
introduction, continuous improvement activities, initiating cost down programs, supporting product relocation
activities as well as product replacement and phase out.

Driving the business and make sure that execution is according to the customer requirements and processes.

Position embedded in VAT Structure

The Head of Product Management Valves owns the life cycle management, leads the product managers and acts as the
commercial authority on quotes
Responsibilities
The Head of Product Management Valves for Advanced Industrial applications is responsible for the life cycle
management and the product roadmaps.
-
Overall product strategy, portfolio development, mid-to-long term planning, budgeting, sales projections and profit
and loss results in line with corporate and Business Units targets.
-
Managing the product portfolio and roadmaps to set clear cost and time goals for core tech, engineering, supply chain,
operations and quality.
-
Leading the product management and directs the engineering and supply chain teams to achieve business unit goals
across the value chain.
-
Driving product portfolio synergies to develop differentiated, configurable platforms to reduce offering complexity.
-
Ensuring timely quotations to sales and drives value pricing throughout the organisation to position VAT products
effectively in the market based on customer value.

Interacting pro-actively with sales and key customers to drive the business results.
-
Collecting market requirements and competitive intelligence as a base to develop strategies and short-midterm measures
to remain competitive and growing the markets.

Assigning, allocating, and developing the Product Management team to achieve business results effectively.
-
Interacting actively with VAT innovation groups, such as core tech and other BU’s to foster innovation, develop,
manage and share platforms in products and technology.

Supporting operations to release and optimize the supply chain for the owned products.

Interacts pro-actively with quality striving for a zero defect culture.
-
Incorporates company standards of excellence into daily work to foster a total quality environment and demonstrate
personal commitment to excellence.

Supported by legal counsels manages commercial contracts, such as Customer frame agreements, NDA, etc.

Formal Education & Knowledge

Master's Degree in sciences, engineering or economy.

Fluent business English skills written and spoken.

Experience in product management within highly differentiated industrial businesses.

Knowledge of the practical application of product life cycle management
Experience Required

Strong entrepreneurship and strategic thinking.

Solid experience in managing international projects.

Account Management experience.

Know-how of General Vacuum market or experience in vacuum industry.
