The Proposal Manager will partner closely with the Sales Director and the Contract Manager Sales forming the core team
of the tender projects. The Proposal Manager will be expected to have a total grasp of the business and will play a
critical role within Business Development. As a member of the tender core team, the Proposal Manager will lead the
technical proposal preparation and be responsible for continuous coordination, monitoring, and management of the
proposal projects in respect of scheduling, economic, qualitative, and technical objectives. The Proposal Manger will
collaborate with all designated internal and external stakeholders according to the business process.
Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Full responsibility for the proposal of sales projects, from scheduling, economic, qualitative and technical
objectives (incl. internal and external coordination) up to documentation
- Optimization of offered solutions, focus on customer needs, practicability Technical examination of the customer
specification
- Development of plant design / system concepts and layout in close cooperation with internal expert groups, customers
and partners
- Presentation of sales projects to customers in close cooperation with the sales/contract manager
- Contract negotiations related to the technical parts of the contract, occasional travelling up to 20%
- Trained Engineer (mechanical, process, chemical) with 5+ years’ experience in proposal or process engineering,
preferably in international plant business
- Strong technical understanding combined with strong project management and communication skills for a diverse
audience (engineering up to C-level)
- Strong networker and negotiator with a distinct entrepreneurial mindset
- Organized, flexible and solution-oriented personality
- Fluency in English and preferably German too, any other languages are an advantage
