The Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) is inviting applications for two visiting lectureship
positions in the history of architecture, urbanism or landscape. The appointment is limited to two years, with one
position starting in September 2026, the other in February 2027.
Job description
- Advancement of specific research themes in relation to and in integration with the research at the gta Institute
- Contribution substantially and visibly to the educational curriculum of the gta Institute: Performance of seminar
courses on bachelor and master level on topics reflecting the research expertise; Active participation in the doctoral
program and further teaching.
- Involvement and active contributions to the academic and intellectual life of the gta Institute
- Engagement with the exhibition department, archives, and publishing house in relation to research and teaching
activities
- Planning, coordination and performance of workshops, exhibitoins, and publications as an output of the research and
teaching of the visiting lectureship
Profile
- You are a dynamic, innovative and open minded young scholar with a high motivation to engage in teaching, research
and academic life at the gta Institute
- You will resently have received a PhD on top level in the field of architectural history and theory
- You bring founded experience in academic reserch and writing
- You bring appoved teaching experience from one or more academic institutions
- We explicitly encourage women scholars to apply
