In this role you will be responsible for establishing strategic customer relationships based on application
engineering generating tangible value for the engine OEMs working in the Medium/Low speed Division.
Reporting to the Head of Global Application Engineering and Portfolio Management and active business partner to your
peers, you will lead direct reports within the Switzerland application engineering team. You will also be functionally
leading the application teams abroad (at the moment the scope is China, Korea and Japan).
In this position your main challenges will be: working in a global set-up configuration including cultural diversity,
customer experience with integrating an extraordinary customer experience mindset, managing and handling demanding
customers in a changing technology environment.
Your responsibilities:

Develop and maintain customer relationship up to highest R&D management level
-
Actively participate and support OEMs engine developments and strive for tangible value generation
-
Influence and consolidate engine development trends and derive requirements for technology and product developments
-
Product placement up to release on individual engine platforms and internal hand-over to operations
-
Make best use of the existing product portfolio in terms of applied power density and engine performance concepts
striving for smallest turbocharger frame sizes and minimum of different specifications, make use of operational data
accordingly

Establish and run structured meetings with key customers across various management levels
-
Active participation in formulating, implementation and execution of the Division strategy as member of the Management
Team

Engine dev. trends as input to the PMS and supportive to the PGs strategic planning
Your background:
-
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
-
Min. 10 years experiences in engine or similar industries
-
Min. 5 years experiences in leadership positions with impact
-
Highest level of customer and market orientation, cultural sensitivity and effectiveness, result and strategic
orientation
-
High level of change management, personnel management and development
-
Problem solving and decision making oriented
-
Business fluent in English and German
